Wipro Technologies, one of the world's fastest growing global software services and consulting arm of Wipro Ltd., (NYSE:WIT), recently conducted the BULATS assessments of Cambridge ESOL Examinations. The drive covered over 1000 employees in Phase I. This was done at their Bangalore Development Centre based in the South of India.
BULATS was administered in collaboration with the British Council in India , Chennai. This was a unique project that the organization initiated with the British Council in order to assess the business communication skills of Wipro employees at an internationally comparable standard.
Wipro has an employee base of 27,000 professionals around the world and services over 300 global leaders worldwide. The company intends to continue with BULATS assessments in the coming year at their other development centers in India . This is one of their important efforts to make business communication skills a core area of training and development.
